Attendance is expected at each rehearsal. If you know you will miss a rehearsal, call your Section Leader and notify them in advance of rehearsal. Your absence will be marked as excused and your Section Leader will provide you with the markings prior to the next rehearsal. If you miss more than three rehearsals prior to a concert, the Director will meet with you to determine whether you are not sufficiently prepared. Attendance at all dress rehearsals is mandatory. If extraordinary circumstances require you to miss a dress rehearsal, you must clear the absence with the Director.,
Rehearsals are held each Monday evening from 7:00-9:15 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University Boulevard. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early, as the conductor will begin the rehearsal promptly at 7:00. Bring a pencil to every rehearsal, as markings will be given by the conductor. If you must miss a rehearsal, check with your section leader for markings that were given during your absence. There will be one or two extra Saturday rehearsal prior to each concert. A dress rehearsal is scheduled during the week of the performance (usually the night before).

It is expected that you will spend some time each week, between rehearsals, learning your notes. Our choral rehearsals are intended to work on balance, phrasing, and all aspects of musicality. They are not intended to be note-pounding sessions. Practice CDs will be provided when available. Have fun!
Men: White long sleeve dress shirt, black bow tie, black dress slacks, black suit coat or jacket, black socks and shoes. A black tuxedo is preferred; no tails! NOTE: Navy blue, charcoal grey, or dark brown are not acceptable. Women: Long black pants or black skirt (ankle-to-floor length), Black, V-neck 3/4 sleeve top as specified (buying info. avail.), black hosiery, and black closed-toe shoes. Modest, low-key jewelry only (nothing sparkly, dangly or colored).
Advertising in our concert programs is major source of revenue for the Chorale. Many businesses that you patronize would be happy to advertise in our program. Please ask! Sign up sheets for program ads will be available.
